A great malt which Jim Murray awarded 95 points in his Whisky Bible, this is excellent value for money. It is subtle, smooth and a delicately smoky malt with a honey finish The flavors are simple, but flawless, a clean, crisp 15 year old from the Dalwhinnie distillery, also part of Diageo's Classic Malts range. Famously, the highest distillery in Scotland, (in terms of altitude), Dalwhinnie is renowned for its liqueur-like and gentle, peated character. This expression has been given extra maturation in Oloroso cask-wood, enhancing both richness and body.
